Galati Mamertino (Messina Province) is 140 km from Messina, alt. 790 m, in the northern Nebrodi, on the northwesern slopes of the Pizzo di Ucina, area 39.06 sq km, pop. 3,428, post-code 98070, tel. 0941. Agricultural economy.

Mentioned for the first time in a document of 1214, it was a feudal village around the castle.
