Acquedolci (Messina Province) is 126 km from Messina, alt. 15m, on the Tyrrhenian Sea west of Capo d'Orlando, near the mouth of the River San Fratello, area 13 sq km, pop. 5,194, post-code 98070, tel. 0941. Economy: agriculture (cereals, citrus fruit, olives), fishing, tourism.

Founded in 1922, following a landslide which in that year damaged San Fratello, the town of which it was a ward until 1969.

Ever since the 15th century there have been in this stretch of coast a tunny-fishery and a loader for the wheat from the inland area.

Of interest: The medieval castle, although considerably altered in the course of time, and the Grotta di San Teodoro.

Churches (Patti Diocese) include the following:

San Benedetto il Moro (Chiesa Madre)
