Alcara li Fusi (Messina Province) is 132 km from Messina, alt. 400 m, in the Nebrodi, on the southern face of the rocky spur known as Traora, on the right of the River Rosmarino, area 62.4 sq km, pop. 3,057, post-code 98070, tel. 0941. Agricultural Economy: citrus fruits, cereals, fruit, vegetables, olives, charcoal.

Possibly Arabic in origin, given in 1090 by Count Roger to the Diocese of Messina.
