Borgetto (
Palermo Province) is a town 26 km. from
Palermo, alt. 290 m, on the edge of the Plain of Partinico, on the northwestern slopes of Monte Granara, area 25.9 sq. km. Its population is just over 6100, post-code 90042, tel. 091. Agricultural economy.
A feudal center, after 1410 it belonged to the Benedictine Monastery of Santa Maria delle Ciambre, now in ruins.
Of interest is the Sanctuary of Romitello on Monte Granara (718 m.).
