Buccheri (Siracusa Province) is 60 km from Siracusa, alt. 820 m, in the central sector of the Hyblaean Mountain, at the source of the River San Leonardo or Lentini, area 57.4 sq km, pop. 2,694, post-code 96010, tel. 0931. Agricultural economy.
The town of ancient foundation, was destroyed by the earthquake in 1693 and rebuilt on the same site.
