Campofiorito (Palermo Province) is 70 km. from Palermo, alt. 666 m., on the western slopes of Pizzo Cangialoso, on the Calvario hill, in the basin of the River Belice, area 21.3 sq. km., pop. over 1500, post-code 90030, tel. 091. Economy: agriculture, animal farming.
Founded in the fief of the Batticani by Stefano Riggio, first Prince of Campofiorito, in about 1660. The Branciforte family replaced the Riggios in the early 19th century.
