Camporeale is in Palermo Province. It was in Trapani Province until 1954. It is 45 km. from Palermo, alt. 425 m., at the confluence of the Rivers Gredolo and the Belice, area 38.6 sq. km., pop. over 4,300, post-code 90043, tel. 0924. Agricultural economy: cereals, grapes.
Founded in 1799 by Giuseppe Beccadelli Bologna.
The important archaeological ruins of Monte Jato are in this area.
