Capaci (Palermo Province) is 17 km. from Palermo, alt. 51 m., on the Tyrrhenian Sea, between Punta Raisi and Capo Gallo, area 6.1 sq. km., pop. over 10,800, post-code 90040, tel. 091. Economy: agricultural products, summer tourism.
It is recorded for the first time in 1241. It was a fief of the Bologna family after 1556, and then of the Pilo family.
