Capri Leone (Messina Province) is 117 km from Messina, alt. 400 m, in the northern Nebrodi, on the northwestern face of the Serra di Favara, on the left of the River Zappulla, area 6.6 sq km, pop. 3,841, post-code 98070, tel. 0941, Agricultural Economy: citrus fruit, fruit, vegatables, cereals.

Of medieval origin, it is mentioned for the first time in a document dated 1320. It belonged to the Filangeri and to the Branciforte fief.

The Chiesa dell' Annunziata contains a fine statue (1533) of Our Lady of the Aunnciation by Antonello Gagini.
