Castrofilippo (Agrigento Province) is 25 km. from Agrigento, alt. 470 m., on the hills of the Iacono torrent, area 17.96 sq. km., pop. over 3500, post-code 92020, tel. 0922. Agricultural economy: grapes, olives.

Founded in 1584 by Stefano Morreale, a master of the Royal Exchequer.

The old part of the town is interesting, with its irregular twisting lanes.

Churches (Agrigento Diocese) include the following:
Santa Maria del Rosario (Chiesa Madre, 13th century)

San Antonio Abate
