Ficarazzi (Palermo Province) is 10 km. from Palermo, alt. 23 m., in the eastern sector of the Conca d'Oro, area 3.6 sq. km. Its population is just over 8400, post-code 90010, tel. 091. Agricultural economy, especially citrus fruit.

It was founded in 1458 by Pietro Speciale, although the area had been inhabited since pre-Roman times.

Of interest is the castle, built in the 15th century by Pietro Speciale and transformed into a villa in the 18th century.
