Fiumedinisi (Messina Province) is 111 km from Messina, alt. 1,275 m, in the eastern Nebrodi, between Monte Pistone and the Serra di Baratta, area 31.1 sq km, pop. 883, post-code 98030, tel.0941. Agricultural economy, summer and winter tourism.
According to tradition, it was founded in the 17th century by fugitives escaping from Spanish persecution.
