Gaggi (Messina Province) is 59 km from Messina, alt. 106 m, in the lower valley of the River Alcantara, on the left bank, area 7.34 sq km, pop. 2, 529, post-code 98030, tel. 0942. Agricultural economy.
A hamlet founded by the Arabs, it is referred to as Scraggi in a Norman document of 1071; it belonged for many years to Taormina, and subsequently to the Princes of Branciforte di Scordia and to the De Spuches family.
