Gagliano Castelferrato (Enna Province) is 49 km from Enna, alt. 651 m, on the right of the torrent Gagliano, in the mid-valley of the River Salso, area 56 sq km, pop. 4,163, post-code 94010, tel. 0935. Economy: agriculture (cereals, vegetables, almonds, olives); dairy products; methane deposits.

Inhabited since pre-Greek times, the territory was an Arab settlement and developed considerable around the castle after the 12th century.

Of interest are numerous necropolises.
