Gualtieri Sicamino (Messina Province) is 41 km from Messina, alt. 80 m, in the hinterland of the Gulf of Milazzo, in the Peloritani foothills, area 14.4 sq km, pop. 2,285, post-code 98040, tel. 090. Agricultural economy.
The first historical reference dates from 1088, when the fief was conceded by Count Roger to Gualtiero da Cavarretta; from 1212 it belonged to the Marino-Graffeo family, and from 1656 to the Averna family.
