Leonforte (Enna Province)is 23 km from Enna, in the Monti Erei, alt. 605 m, on the left of the River Dittaino, area 84.1 sq km, pop. 14,936, post-code 94013, tel. 0935. Agricultural ecnonomy.

Founded in 1610 by Nicolo Placido Branciforte, on the gentle slope of a hill, in pleasant green countryside with an abundance of water.

Of interest is the Palazzo Branciforte and an unusual fountain with 24 spouts called Granfonte (Big Fountain).

Churches (Nicosia Diocese) include the following:

San Giovanni Battista (Chiesa Madre, 17th and 18th centuries)
