Malvagna (Messina Province) is 86 km from Messina, alt. 710 m, in the eastern Nebrodi, on the southeast slopes of the Serra La Castagna, area 7 sq km, pop. 1,190, post-code 98030, tel. 0942. Agricultural economy.
Founded 1600 by Francesco Lanza, raised to a Principality in 1627. In 1928-47, together with Mojo Alcantara, it formed the commune of Lanza.
Near the village we can see an interesting early Christian chapel and, on a hill, the ruins of the Convent of San Giuseppe.
