Mandanici (Messina Province) is 39 km from Messina, alt. 417 m, in the Peloritani, on the northern slopes of Monte Cavallo, area 11.65 sq km, pop. 871, post-code 98020, tel. 0942. Economy: olive oil, grapes, chestnuts.
Of ancient origin, possibly Greek, the village later developed around a Basilian monastery founded by the Normans.
