Mazzarra Sant'Andrea (Messina Province) is 60 km from Messina, alt. 110 m, in the hinterland of the Gulf of Patti, in the Peloritani foothills, at the confluence of the torrents Brandino and Mazzara, area 6.60 sq km, pop. 1,903, post-code 98056, tel. 0941. Agricultural economy.
Its territory, the property of the Giardino family in the 16th century, was later a fief of the Spataforas, who in 1653 founded the present village.
