Melito di Porto Salvo (RC) |
Melito di Porto Salvo (Reggio Calabria Province) is an Italian town of 11,600 inhabitants.
According to local historians (including R. Cotroneo) the site has been inhabited in the late Roman era, although confirmation of this assumption is given only by the discovery in the oldest (at the Calvary hill) of a necropolis of the V - sixth century AD is also assumed that in this period, the station was a place of exchange and relaxation for those traveling from Reggio Calabria in Locri (Decastadium).
