Militello Rosmarino (Messina Province) is 132 km from Messina, alt. 420 m, in the northern Nebrodi, on the rocky spurs sloping down from Cozzo Picasi towards the lower part of the River Rosmarino, area 29.7 sq km, pop. 1,517, post-code 98070, tel. 0941. Economy: agriculture (wine-grapes, olives), timber, stock-breeding.
Its existence has been recorded since Norman times; it was at all times a feudal village, the possession in turn of the Aragonas, the Gallegos and the Russos.
