Nissoria (EN)
Nissoria (Enna Province) is 30 km from Enna, alt. 691 m, in the Monti Erei, on the southeast slopes of the Cozzo dell'Edera, in the mid-valley of the River Salso, area 61.6 sq km, pop. 3,220, post-code 94010, tel. 0935. Economy: agriculture (cereals, grapes, olives, vegetables); artisan industries (olive presses, mills, precious metals).
Founded about the middle of the 18th century by Francesco Rodrigo Ventimiglia Pignatelli Moncada, who brought here inhabitants from the surrounding villages.
