San Filippo Superiore (Messina Province) is a small village not far south of Messina. The Chiesa Madre, dedicated to St Nicholas of Bari, presents some noteworthy features, particularly in the interior, including the wooden ceiling and ten 18th century frescoes depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments.
