Scillato (Palermo Province) is 70 km. from Palermo, alt. 218 m., in the northern sector of the Madonie, on the western face of Cozzo di Castellazzo, area 30.9 sq. km., pop. over 700, post-code 90020, tel. 0921. Agricultural economy.
A modest rural village, once the fief of the Dukes of Ferrandina, it became an autonomous comune in 1961, when it split off from Collesano.
The village is well known because it gives its name to an aquaduct to Palermo for a particularly appreciated variety of water from springs in the neighborhood.
