Terme Vigliatore (Messina Province) is 61 km from Messina, alt. 10 m, between the Tyrrhenian coastline and the foothills of the Peloritani, area 13.5 sq km, pop. 6,058, post-code 98050, tel. 090. Economy: agriculture, industry (mineral water, dairy-products, spa), health center, tourism.
This is one of the three localities in the Province of Messina that are famous thermae; the other two are Ali' Terme and the island of Lipari, with the San Calogero hot baths.
The territory of Termo Vigliatore belonged in the Middle Ages to the Quartalaro fief, and it is mentioned in a document dating from the time of Roger II (1145).
At San Biagio, in the nearby country, the remains have been found of a Roman Villa.
