Torregrotta (Messina Province) is 34 km from Messina, alt. 44 m, in the hinterland of the Gulf of Milazzo, area 4.2 sq km, pop. 6,360, post-code 98040, tel. 090. Economy: agriculture, brickworks, service industries.
This is a country town which used to be part of the fief of Roccavaldina, the town with which Torregrotta was associated until 1923, when it became an autonomous commune.
