Torretta (Palermo Province) is 18 km. from Palermo, alt. 325 m., between Monte Cozzo di Rugo to the northeast and Monte Tre Pizzi to the Southwest, area 25.4 sq. km., pop. over 3300, post code 90040, tel. 091. Economy: agriculture (vineyards, olives), wood handicraft.

The modern town was founded in 1636 by Enrico Troina. Numerous prehistoric finds have been found nearby.
