Ventimiglia di Sicilia (PA)
Ventimiglia di Sicilia (Palermo Province) is 42 km. from Palermo, alt. 540 m., on the River Leonardo, at the foot of Pizzo di Cascio, area 26.7 sq. km., pop. over 2300, post-code 90020, tel. 091. Economy: agriculture (prickly pears, cereals, almonds, olives).
Founded in 1625 by Giovanni Carretto, whose wife Beatrice Ventimiglia in 1627 obtained the title of Princess.
First Sunday in October - Festa of Madonna of Rosario is celebrated with a livestock fair, musical shows and a procession in Ventimiglia di Sicilia.
