Villabate (Palermo Province) is 9 km. from Palermo, alt. 47 m., in the Conca d'Oro, north of Montagna Grande, area 3.8 sq. km., pop. over 16,200, post-code 90039, tel. 091. Agricultural economy (citrus and other fruit) and commerce.
The modern town is fairly recent, but archaeological discoveries date back to the second century BC.
