Villafrati (Palermo Province) is 36 km. from Palermo, alt. 450 m., on the eastern slopes of Rocca Busambra, on the bank of the River Milicia, area 25.6 sq. km., pop. over 3400, post-code 90030, tel. 091. Economy: agriculture, timber.

Founded in the first half of the 18th century by Vincenzo Filangeri of the Counts of San Marco.

Of interest is the Villa Sammarco, built in the 18th century with a central garden.

Third Sunday in September- Angel's Flight is celebrated with children suspended with heavy ropes as angels reciting psalms as part of the procession in Villafrati.
