Villalba (
Caltanissetta Province) is 51 km from
Caltanissetta, alt. 620 m, on the northern slopes of the Cocuzzo Pirtusiddu, area 41.3 sq km, pop. 2,135, post-code 93010, tel. 0934. Economy: agriculture (tomatoes, lentils), plastic materials.
A hamlet stood here in Arab times and it still existed in 1175. The monder town was founded by Nicolo' Palmeri Calafato in 1753.
