Custonaci (Trapani Province) is 20 km from Trapani, alt. 186 m, a short distance from the coast of the Gulf of Bonagia, on the slopes of Monte Cofano, area 69.6 sq km, pop. 4,665, post-code 91015, tel. 0923. Economy: Agriculture, marble quarrying and working.
It developed at the end of the 18th century, following initiatives by the Bourbons to populate the area with the granting of rights to un-cultivated land.
Also: Cornino - Bathing resort, in the territory of Custonaci, 19 km from Trapani, beneath Monte Cofano.
